Plan Termination
All retirement plans have a useful lifetime. When the "reasons" behind establishing
the plan have changed, it's time to consider a different type of
plan design, or
possibly terminating the plan altogether.
Unfortunately, "old plans never die," at least not by themselves. Formal plan
amendments are required for a plan to be terminated, and Annual Reports (Form 5500)
and plan amendments may be required until the final assets are distributed
from the plan.
We offer all plan termination services. We can amend the documents, submit
the documents to the I.R.S. and/or P.B.G.C. (when necessary), and complete all
of the participant distribution paperwork and reporting.
If your plan has outlived its usefulness, feel free to
contact us about
our plan termination services.
